through self-sacrifice – which is the best means to achieve victory – with due respect for human beings, their freedom and personal dignity.
The idea of personal freedom is expressed in the general principles that arise from the universal understanding of freedom, equality, and fairness. Abidance by those principles represents the essence of criminal justice and brings us closer to the ideal of law. This triumph of justice is what I aimed to demonstrate through my cases – as well as through the judgment in candlelight!
